the committeeOur Kindergarten is run by the Committee of Management under the guidelines of the Department of Health and Community Services. Oban Preschool is part of a cluster of Maroondah kindergarten's that has appointed Best Chance as a Cluster Manager. A Cluster Manager is when a Not-For-Profit Community Organisation takes over the licensing and employment responsibilities of running a Children's Services Centre. It provides a more professional work environment for our staff and greatly reduces the legal burden and compliance workload for current and future committees. Being part of a Cluster enables us to be the best prepared to embrace the upcoming changes in the education and early learning environment giving us the greatest outcomes for our children, staff and kinder community. The Committee is responsible for the overall operation of the Kindergarten including handling finances, dealing with correspondence and decision making and to support the Teachers and Assistants. The Committee is the driving force behind the smooth efficient running of the Kindergarten.
